With Liverpool still in contention for both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles this season, two-time African Player of the Year Mohamed Salah has revealed which trophy he would rather lift this season.
Following a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Burnley on the weekend, Jurgen Klopp's side remains in the race for the Premier League title, occupying second position on the table, one point behind Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
The Reds also find themselves on the brink of progression to the Champions League quarter-finals – they face Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the return fixture of their round of 16 tie on Wednesday night, having played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg.
Salah, who is the joint-leading African goalscorer in Europe's elite leagues along with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and LOSC Lille's Nicolas Pepe, has now admitted that he would sacrifice his dream of winning the Champions League if it meant Liverpool were crowned league champions
"I will be honest with you, the most prestigious competition for me is the Champions League," he told Sky Sports.
"But the dream for the entire city and the club is the league.
"So, I am happy to sacrifice my dream for their dream, but if we win both, that would be great and this is what we are trying to do."
The Egypt international has found the back of the net on 20 occasions and registered eight assists in 39 games across all competitions for the Reds so far this season.
