Liverpool Star Equals UEFA Champions League All-Time Record & Neymar Milestone
Mohamed Salah stole the headlines on Tuesday night, but one of his Liverpool teammates also equalled an impressive UEFA Champions League all-time record – one not even Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi has achieved – while also matching a milestone of Neymar's.

Roberto Firmino assisted Salah's two opening goals, which saw the Egyptian breaking Samuel Eto'o's record for the most goals scored by an African during a single Champions League campaign.
The Brazilian also found the back of the net twice, striking Liverpool's fourth and fifth in the Reds' 5-2 goal bonanza against AS Roma.
In doing so, Firmino became the joint fastest player to reach 10 goals in the competition, as pointed out by Opta Sports. The first leg against the Romans was only the Reds striker's 11th UCL appearance, equalling the record of his countryman Adriano, who also reached 10 goals in just 11 matches.
Messi, meanwhile, reached his 10th goal in the competition in his 24th game, while Ronaldo needed 37 appearances to score 10 times in the Champions League.
Firmino's two strikes also saw him equalling the record for the most goals scored by a Brazilian during a single UCL campaign.
His 10 Champions League goals in 2017/18 are as many as Neymar struck in 2014/15 with FC Barcelona, and Kaka in 2006/07 with AC Milan.
He still has the second leg against Roma and a potential final to add to his tally in this year's competition to become the most prolific Brazilian in a single Champions League campaign.
