Liverpool's attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino is more lethal than Real Madrid's trident of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, according to a Reds legend.
The two sides will lock horns in the UEFA Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday evening (20:45 kickoff)
Liverpool have netted 40 goals in Europe this season, with Salah bagging 10 of those, while Mane and Firmino have both scored nine.
Ronaldo is the tournament's top scorer this term with 15 goals, but Reds legend Phil Thompson claims the Merseyside trio more deadly in attack.
"We have more pace all round and are smarter with our movement so I think, as a three, yes Firmino, Salah and Mane are better than Real Madrid's front three," Thompson told Sky Sports.
"I'd have Firmino over Benzema all day long, Bale has been in and out of the team all season and it is only Ronaldo who has been consistent, so yes I would take our front three over theirs."
