In 2015, the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year was asked to name his all-time XI from the tournament, and he did not include himself like many others previously had.
Since he announced his selection five years ago, Spanish giants Real have claimed three consecutive Champions League titles, in 2016, 2017 and 2018, inspired by the competition's greatest goalscorer, Ronaldo.
With 128 strikes in Europe's elite club competition, Ronaldo is widely considered by many to be the best Champions League player of all time, but, when Ronaldinho named his team, the Portuguese forward did not make the cut.
Today, the Brazilian might see things a little differently, although his front three did include three players he played alongside. Perhaps surprisingly, Ronaldo Nazario made his team, despite the legendary No. 9 never lifting the trophy.
