Despite Liverpool making a great start to the final on Saturday night, Zinedine Zidane's Real defeated the Reds 3-1 on the night to claim their third UCL title in a row, and their fourth in five seasons.

A second-half brace from substitute Gareth Bale ensured Los Blancos their 13th Champions League title in history, with one of his strikes blowing the roof off the stadium in Kiev.

Minutes after his introduction, the Welshman pulled off a superb bicycle-kick from the edge of the Liverpool box, leaving goalkeeper Loris Karius flat-footed.

Real continue to write history in Europe's biggest club competition, and as is tradition, the team were greeted by thousands of supporters on their arrival back home.

Unlike yesteryears now they managed to keep quality players for a long time, they have a manager who just recently retired, who understands the all the dynamics of morden football and gave him enough time to introduce his philosophy, now they only need to observe their shortcomings that resulted to their poor performance this season and find immediate solution without chasing the coach away

Hating this biggest team in the world is a waste of time. Congratulations to Real Madrid. A great victory. So happy for Gareth Bale. Finally, he delivered. He and Benzema can carry the team post King CR7 time. Good luck to King CR7, whatever he does next.
