According to Transfermarkt and ESPN, all the players mentioned are included in their teams' 25-man squads for the competition, which kicks off on Tuesday night.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all return to the famous tournament this year, and will be relying on the likes of Eric Bailly, Victor Moses, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to steer them to success.

Two Africans from the Bundesliga will also be hoping put in a few good performances in the competition. Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be expected spearhead his team's attack, while Naby Keita will need to be the rock in Red Bull Leipzig's midfield if they are to progress beyond the group stage.

Qarabag striker Dino Ndlovu will be South Africa's only representative in the 2017/18 Champions League campaign. The Bafana star travels to English champions Chelsea on matchday 1 and will be hoping to bag a goal or two at Stamford Bridge.
