Arsene Wenger Linked With Shock Premier League Move
Under-fire Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who appears to be on his way out of the London club, has been linked with a shock move to a Premier League rival.
After four successive losses, the most recent being the team's 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, many expect the Frenchman's 22-year reign as the club's boss to come to an end this season.
The Gunners are now 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, which means they will most likely be missing out on UEFA Champions League football for a second season.
Although Wenger is expected to leave Arsenal, the Daily Star has suggested that he could be staying in the English top flight – to take over at Everton.
The English publication believes the Toffees are planning on dismissing Sam Allardyce following a miserable run of their own, and that Wenger could be brought in to steady the ship.
The Merseyside club's owner, Farhad Moshiri, is said to be a huge fan of Wenger, and is desperate to bring him in should he be forced out of the Emirates.
The 68-year-old has won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his time in England so far.
