Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on a Chelsea star who has recently fallen out of favour with manager Antonio Conte.
According to the Daily Express, Los Blancos have joined the race to sign Brazil international David Luiz in the January transfer window.
The centre back has found himself on the bench for the Blues of late, with many believing this a result after a disagreement between the coach and player during Chelsea's 3-0 defeat to Roma in the UEFA Champions League.
After the incident, Luiz was forced to train alone and was dropped for the club's 1-0 win over Manchester United after apparently questioning Conte's tactics, and also missed games against West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool, although he was recalled for the Champions League win over Qarabag last week.
Zidane is apparently interested in bringing in some reinforcements in the January window, and Luiz is believed to be one of his tagets for his defence.
It is believed that Chelsea will only sell the former Paris Saint-Germain star if they can find a suitable replacement.
