Juventus' capture of Dutch prodigy Matthijs de Ligt is, by far, the biggest deal in Serie A to date in this window. The reigning champions splashed a mammoth €85.5 million (R1.4 billion) to sign the 20-year-old from Ajax Amsterdam.
The Bianconeri also completed the third-most expensive deal of the market when they signed fullback Danilo from Manchester City. The Brazilian international joined the Turin club for a reported sum of €37 million (R624 million).
Sandwiched in between the two deals is Romelu Lukaku's move to Inter Milan. The towering Belgian forward made the move to Italy from Manchester United following a lengthy transfer saga, and cost his new employers a pricey €65 million (R1.1 billion).
A number of mega-money deals could still happen before the window closes, though, with the likes of Neymar, James Rodriguez and Hirving Lozano all linked with moves to Serie A clubs, but you can view the league's most expensive transfers so far by scrolling through the gallery above!
