The 2019/20 Serie A campaign kicks off this weekend but Italian top-flight teams are still able to conclude transfers in the next 12 days. Here are 10 of the most expensive deals in the league so far in this window.

Juventus' capture of Dutch prodigy Matthijs de Ligt is, by far, the biggest deal in Serie A to date in this window. The reigning champions splashed a mammoth €85.5 million (R1.4 billion) to sign the 20-year-old from Ajax Amsterdam.

The Bianconeri also completed the third-most expensive deal of the market when they signed fullback Danilo from Manchester City. The Brazilian international joined the Turin club for a reported sum of €37 million (R624 million).
Sandwiched in between the two deals is Romelu Lukaku's move to Inter Milan. The towering Belgian forward made the move to Italy from Manchester United following a lengthy transfer saga, and cost his new employers a pricey €65 million (R1.1 billion).
