Roma And Juve Share The Spoils
Roma netted a late equaliser to earn a point against Juventus in their Serie A clash on Monday night.
The Bianconeri had a great chance in the 26th minute. Mapou initiated an attack for Roma from the back but he lost possession, allowing the visitors counter through Marchisio. Patrice Evra got the ball on the byline and cut it back for Pereyra but it came at an awkward height and he failed to connect.
Juve had another opportunity just after half-time when Pereyra intercepted Ljajic's pass and rolled it out left for Vidal, but his shot across goal went just past the far post.
The Giallorossi were reduced to 10 men in the 62nd minute. Torosidis was already on a yellow card when he clipped Vidal's heels when he was through on goal following Carlos Tevez's pass, earning him a second booking.
The Old Lady took advantage of their superior numbers only two minutes after the red card. The visitors won a free kick and Tevez stepped up to curl a magnificent strike over the wall and into the net with the Roma keeper rooted to the spot.
Despite having only ten men on the field, Roma found an equaliser in the 78th minute. Florenzi bent a free kick towards the far post where Seydou Keita headed home to salvage a point for the home team.
