Juve Clinch Derby With Winner At The Death

Serie A
Result: Juventus 2-1 Torino
Date: 31 October 2015
Venue: Juventus Stadium
The Derby della Mole ended in dramatic fashion on Saturday as Juventus scored a stoppage-time winner to beat Torino 2-1.
The Old Lady took the lead in the 19th minute when a brilliant piece of individual skill from Paul Pogba set the derby alight. The former Manchester United midfielder drove into space on the edge of the area before smashing a half-volley into the back of the net.
In the 34th minute the hosts came close to doubling the lead. Juan Cuadrado gave the ball to Paulo Dybala who set himself for a strike but sent the effort just wide of the far post.
Torino had a big chance three minutes before the interval when Molinari was able to send the ball across the face of the Juve goal, but Quagliarella's shot was somehow blocked on the line.
The equaliser arrived in the 51st minute. Cesare Bravo sent his free kick into the Juve wall, but the rebound fell kindly for him and he rifled the loose ball into the top corner of the goal.
Torino looked threatening on the counter attack around the 74-minute mark. Zappacosta marauded down the right wing before sending a cross-cum-shot from his wide position which forced Gianluigi Buffon into a good save.
Juve came close to finding their winner in the last few minutes when a free kick into the area was headed goalwards but it hit the woodwork and the visitors survived.
However, not for long. In the dying seconds of stoppage time Cuadrado popped up to net the winning goal for Juventus. He was picked out at the back post and bundled the ball home to claim the three points.
Elsewhere in Serie A, Inter Milan squeezed past AS Roma 1-0 thanks to Gary Medel's solitary strike in the 31st minute.
