Ronaldo Moves Into Double Figures In Juve's Big Win
Result: Fiorentina 0-3 Juventus
Date: 01 December 2018
Venue: Stadio Artemio Franchi
Cristiano Ronaldo has shown no signs of slowing down after netting his 10th Serie A goal in Juventus' 3-0 win away to Fiorentina on Saturday evening.
The Old Lady enjoyed a lot of possession in the early stages of the encounter, but they were unable to make any of that dominance count in the opening 20 minutes.
The deadlock was eventually broken by Juve in the 31st minute as Paulo Dybala's well-weighted pass found Rodrigo Bentancur, who calmly slotted into the bottom corner.
Giovani Simeone, the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego, should have restored parity minutes later but he fired straight at Wojciech Szczesny in the box.
The final 10 minutes of the second half was an end-to-end affair as both sides upped the tempo, however neither side could carve out another chance as the score remained 1-0 to Juve at the break.
Juventus dominated in the second half but were finding it tough to break down a well-drilled Fiorentina side, although Ronaldo did have one of his free-kick's saved.
The second goal eventually arrived in the 69th minute when Chiellini poked home from close range after Juan Cuadrado's corss cause all sorts of problems in the box.
Juve were then awarded a penalty in the 77th minute for handball on Edmilson. Ronaldo stepped up and calmly slotted home the penalty to extend Juve's lead.
That proved to be the final piece of goal-mouth action in the half as Juve claim their 13th win of the season.
