A Real Madrid star seems set for a reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo after reportedly agreeing to a four-year deal worth €12 million (R195 million) a season with Serie A giants Juventus.
Brazil international Marcelo has enjoyed a trophy-laden career with Los Blancos since his arrival at the club from Brazilian outfit Fluminense in 2007. However, the 30-year-old has somewhat fallen out of favour with the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners this season, losing his place in the starting XI to academy graduate Sergio Reguilon.
Marcelo, who has been the subject of reported interest
from the Biaconeri, recently met with Real's general director Jose Angel Sanchez about his lack of game time, and reportedly revealed his desire to leave the club.
According to La Stampa, the defender has since agreed to a four-year deal with Juventus, with the transfer likely to be confirmed at the end of the season.
The Brazilian fullback, who has a close friendship with Ronaldo, has made 476 appearances for Real since joining the club, finding the back of the net on 36 occasions and being on hand to register a further 88 strikes.
