Mourinho was sacked by Spurs last month, but has already found a new club for the 2021/22 season as he is set to return to Serie A with Roma.
It seems the Portuguese tactician is wasting no time looking for reinforcements, with Football.London reporting that he will target Lilywhites duo Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura.
Both players featured quite prominently during Mourinho's tenure in north London, and would reportedly be keen on a reunion with the "Special One".
The tactician is also said to be eyeing another reunion in Rome, with Sportitalia claiming he will try to sign Red Devils star Nemanja Matic.
The Serbia star played under Mourinho at both Chelsea and United, and it is believed the Italian club has already contacted the Manchester outfit regarding the midfielder.
The 32-year-old has played a bit-part role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, and could look to leave in the off-season, although his contract is only set to expire in 2023.
Mourinho is already set to reunite with, among others, Roma players Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whom he coached at Old Trafford.
