Gennaro Gattuso got his AC Milan reign off to a dreadful start as they became the first team in Serie A to drop points to Benevento.
Giacomo Bonaventura opened the scoring in the 38th minute, but George Pușcaș levelled in the 50th.
Milan went back ahead thanks to Nikola Kalinić, but saw Alessio Romagnoli sent off in the 75th minute before Alberto Brignoli's stoppage time equaliser earned Benevento a share of the spoils.

Cagliari took the lead through João Pedro in the 42nd minute, but Bologna equalised through Mattia Destro in the 81st.
