A stunning strike from Andrea Pirlo helped Juventus claim a 2-1 win over Atalanta at the Juventus Stadium on Friday night.
After a quiet start to the game, Juve sprung into life in the 19th minute, as Pirlo played in Fernando Llorente, who dragged his effort wide of the upright.
It was the visitors who opened the scoring in the 25th minute, as Giulio Migliaccio rose well to head home Urby Emanuelson's corner at the near post.
Juve eventually pulled level five minutes later courtesy of a close range finish from Llorente, after a goal-mouth scramble in the box.
Massimiliano Allegri's men then went ahead on the stroke of halftime, as Pirlo collected a pass from Claudio Marchisio before rifling one into the top corner from 30-yards out.
Marco Sportiello came to Atalanta's rescue shortly after the halftime break, pulling off a superb reaction save to deny Paul Pogba from close range.
Lionel Scaloni nearly brought the visitors level in the with 15 minutes left on the clock but his powerful strike from distance sailed just wide of the upright.
Allegri's men survived a late surge from the relegation threatened Atalanta to claim the three points and cement their spot at the top of the Serie A standings.
