Champions Juve Held By Chievo

Italian Serie A

Result: Juventus 1-1 Chievo

Date: 12 September 2015

Venue: Juventus Stadium

Paolo Dybala's 83rd minute penalty helped Juventus secure a 1-1 draw with Chievo on Saturday evening.

The visitors went ahead as early as the fifth minute when Perparim Hetemaj curled one past Gianluigi Buffon from the edge of the area.

Hernanes nearly leveled matters for Juventus in the 11th minute but the Brazilians' stinging effort produced a fine save from Bizzarri.

After a quiet spell in the first half, the hosts nearly drew level just before the halftime break, as Dybala collected a pass from Pereyra, before rifling an effort just past the upright from 25-yards out.

Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, decided to introduce Paul Pogba at the start of the second half for Claudio Marchisio.

Buffon had to be at his best in the 52nd minute, as the Juventus goalkeeper reacted well to keep out Cesar's acrobatic effort.

The Champions were struggling to find an equaliser and Allegri decided to change things up again, bringing on Juan Cuadrado and Mario Mandzukic.

However, Juventus were awarded a penalty in the 83rd minute when Cuadrado had been brought down in the box. Dybala stepped and converted from 12-yards out to earn Juve a point.

Other results:

Goals from Iago Falque and Juan Iturbe was enough to hand AS Roma a 2-0 win over Frosinone at the Stadio Comunale Matusa on Saturday evening.

Khouma Babacar 60th minute strike handed Fiorentina a narrow 1-0 win over Genoa at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
