A former Inter Milan star has questioned Romelu Lukaku for wanting a return to Chelsea, whom he feels did not appreciate the striker before.
The Belgian has reportedly informed the Nerazzurri that he wants to return to the Blues ahead of the 2021/22 season, with the European champions understood to be preparing another bid for the player.
Lukaku's first spell at Stamford Bridge did not go as planned as he made only 15 appearances before securing a move to Everton, where he made a name for himself.
Former Inter striker Antonio Cassano has admitted he cannot understand why the 28-year-old would want to go back to England.
"If this is really how much they are offering, I'd take him there personally," Cassano said on Twitch, as per The Sun.
"Having said that, I want to figure out what's going on here. He had two really bad experiences in England, one decent one with Everton, and he wants to go back there.
"I have to ask myself, why go back to a club that didn't appreciate you? Is it for money?"
