Milan Boss Sends Warning To Higuain Amid EPL Links
AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly close to sealing a move to Premier League side Chelsea, but his club's chief has sent a warning to the Argentine.
English publication the Evening Standard claim that Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has 'pressed' the club to make another move for the former Real Madrid star.
The report states that negotiations are currently underway and Juventus want Chelsea to take over Milan's loan agreement with the obligation to buy the striker for €36 million (R576 million).
Milan sporting director Leonardo, meanwhile, has warned the 31-year-old that he needs start taking responsibility if he decides to remain at the San Siro.
“A goal can change things, but if he is to continue here, he needs to take on responsibility,” Leonardo said, according to the Mirror.
“He had a tough moment, he has to put it behind him and get to work. There’s no point following rumours and gossip.
“He is here right now. Seeing as he is here, he needs to get down and actually do something for this team.”
