Los Blancos lost 3-1 to Real Sociedad in their penultimate game of the 2018/19 LaLiga campaign on the weekend, and despite a reshuffle starting XI, there was once again no space for Bale.
In fact, Zidane dropped him from his matchday squad for a second week running. However, the tactician has since insisted the reason for Bale's axing is not based on any injury.
"It's clear what I've done this weekend," Zidane said after the game against Sociedad, as quoted by Marca.
"We'll see what I do next week and what happens next year.
"He's fine physically."

Despite the defeat, Zidane drew some positives from his side's game, praising goalscorer Brahim Diaz, who joined the club from Manchester City in January.
"Brahim played well," the coach added.
"He's young and interesting.
"We'll see what we're going to do, but for the moment he's had some minutes and he's done well during them."
