Despite a relatively good performance by Los Blancos in their trip to Turkey, fans had their heads in their hands in the second half when Hazard struck the crossbar after rounding Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
The Belgian did manage to register an assist, though, after setting up Toni Kroos for his goal in the 18th minute, and Zidane later insisted that the 28-year-old's open-goal miss does not concern him.
"It doesn't worry me," he said, according to Fox Sports Asia.
"He's better and he's going to improve more.
"The important thing is that he continues to have chances, because he's going to put them in."
Hazard has played seven times for Real since his move to Madrid, scoring once and assisting three further goals.
