The Frenchman is looking ahead to a busy transfer window, with a squad revamp much needed after Real's below-par campaign.

Marca reported last week that Zidane has begun face-to-face talks with some of his players to discuss their future at the club.

The first players the 46-year-old is believed to have called into his office were Gareth Bale, Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente, all of whom were apparently told they are not in his plans, while he informed Marcelo that he wants him at the Santiago Bernabeu for the 2019/20 campaign.

New reports by Marca suggest that goalkeeper Keylor Navas is the latest player to be told he is not in the club's plans for the future.

The board reportedly want Thibaut Courtois, who joined the club ahead of 2018/19 and shared first-choice duties with Navas, to become the club's uncontested No. 1.

In addition, Zidane reportedly wants to hand his son Luca the second-choice shot-stopper role at the club. Not all at board level are believed to be in agreement with this decision, but have seemingly come to an understanding because the coach himself would prefer to keep the Costa Rican over Courtois.

Navas will seemingly leave the club after being its first-choice keeper in their past three UEFA Champions League triumphs and lifting 12 trophies overall since joining Los Blancos.
