With a certain Real Madrid star wanting regular first-team football, reports suggest the Los Blancos midfielder is closing in on a big move to the Premier League.
Dani Ceballos is said to be headed for an exit from the Spanish giants, after recently saying he would like to play 40 matches a season.
The 22-year-old does not appear to be in Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the 2019/20 campaign, with Tottenham Hotspur being one of the clubs after his signature.
AS claim Ceballos will be allowed to leave Real for around £44 million (R781 million), while other reports in Spain suggest the player could be close to a move.
It was recently suggested that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has spoken personally with the six-time Spain international, who represented Spain’s side at the U21 European Championship over the last month.
Ceballos could join the Lilywhites on loan in this window, though his deal could include an option to buy at the end of the next campaign.
Spurs have already signed midfielder Tanguy Ndombele ahead of next season, while they have been linked with Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso.
