With Real Madrid having been interested in Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe since he was a young teenager, the Spanish giants have now reportedly set a date as to when they will make an official approach for the striker.
According to Spanish publication Marca, Los Blancos will target the 20-year-old French sensation ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Real president Florentino Perez has been a huge admirer of Mbappe's for a long time, and is determined to make an attempt for his signature in the near future.
The chief is believed to want the France sensation's value to drop before he makes an approach for him, although that means the forward would have to reject any offer of a contract extension from PSG.
Since bursting on to the scene at Monaco in 2016, the striker has gone on to exceed all expectations so far for both club and country, with whom he won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Last season, Mbappe – who is valued at about €200 million (R1.6 billion), according to Transfermarkt – scored an incredible 39 goals and assisted a further 17 strikes in just 43 matches for PSG.
