Los Blancos have been linked with a host of names, including the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic.
While Hazard seems set to join the Spanish giants in the coming days after announcing that he is likely to leave Chelsea following their UEFA Europa League triumph over Arsenal on Wednesday night, the Jovic rumours have dried up a bit.
However, Zidane has not been sitting on the sidelines waiting for new arrivals, and instead taken matters into his own hands.

According to AS, Olympique Lyon's Ferland Mendy has reportedly held several talks with the French coach over the past few days, and was convinced to join the club. At the Santiago Bernabeu, the 24-year-old would rival Marcelo in the left-back position.
Mendy has also been linked with Real's bitter rivals FC Barcelona, as well as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, but it seems Zidane has persuaded him to join Los Blancos.

Mendy can look back at a brilliant campaign in France, after which he was named in the official Ligue 1 Team of the Season and received his maiden call-up to the French national team.
