Some of Real Madrid's players were reportedly baffled by the coach's team selection for their shock defeat to Valencia on the weekend.
The Frenchman is usually known for having a good relationship with his players, but cracks are seemingly starting to show following the team's average start to the 2020/21 campaign.
Their surprise 4-1 defeat to Valencia on Sunday was Los Blancos' third loss across all competitions this season, and Zidane is slowly coming under more pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to Marca, some of the Spanish giants' stars questioned the tactician's selection for the game at Valencia after he left Toni Kroos and Ferland Mendy on the bench for Isco and Marcelo.
The latter duo have struggled for their best form for quite some time now, leaving a few of the players wondering why Zidane opted to include them in his line-up despite already missing Casemiro and Eden Hazard after both tested positive for COVID-19.
Following their defeat to Los Che, Real dropped to fourth place in LaLiga, four points behind leaders Real Sociedad, while bitter rivals FC Barcelona are in eighth position.
