Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly offered €80 million for highly-rated Germany international Kai Havertz, who is also reportedly a target for Liverpool.
German publication Bild has reported that Los Blancos have submitted an offer €80 million (R1.5 billion) for the 20-year-old, who is said to also be a target for Jurgen Klopp's Reds and Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
The German attacking midfielder has enjoyed a superb 2019/20 season so far, having registered 15 goals and eight assists across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen.
It is also claimed that Leverkusen is looking for €100 million (R1.9 billion) for their talisman, who has already made seven appearances for the Germany national team.
When asked about Havertz and Timo Werner recently, Klopp told Sky Germany: "There are a lot of good players on this planet.
"Right time, opportunity – everything has to come together. Six, seven weeks ago, we didn't know if we could play again this year.
"If we hadn't played the second half of the season, we would have thought, 'OK, when can you really play football again?' And now it starts right away."
