The Serbia international enjoyed a wonderful 2018/19 campaign in Germany's top flight, scoring 27 goals in 48 matches across all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Jovic was also reportedly chased by FC Barcelona, with some reports suggesting he snubbed them for Los Blancos, although others claim it was the Blaugrana who ended their interest in the player.
The 21-year-old was officially unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday afternoon after completing a medical and penning a six-year deal with the 13-time UEFA Champions League winners.
Asked about his move, Jovic stated that he cannot wait to represent the Spanish giants.
"I'm the happiest guy in the world, I'm going to give everything," he said, according to the club's official website.
"I'm excited and I'm sure I've made the best decision, I'll work hard to win titles with Real Madrid."
The striker also showed his pedigree in the UEFA Europa League this past campaign, scoring 10 times in 14 games for Frankfurt – an average of a goal every 95 minutes in that competition.
