Barcelona and Argentina superstar, Lionel Messi, has admitted that he is keen to find good form heading into Brazil after losing out on the La Liga title last week.
After "a complicated year" with Barca, Messi will lead Argentina into his third World Cup appearance, battling Bosnia, Iran and Nigeria in Group F.
"I know that now I'm here with the national team I'll change my frame of mind, as often happened the other way round, when things didn't go so well with the national team and then I went back to Barcelona and played well. Let's hope it's the other way around this time," Messi told reporters in Argentina.
"When I get together in preparation with my teammates, with my friends, then it'll change my headspace and things will change.
"We have a great group. We're all coming into it on good form and hopefully we can achieve our objective. The national side is very strong."
Despite signing a new contract with Barcelona on Tuesday, Messi indicated that he will only stay with the Catalan club as long as he is wanted, and he emphasized his disappointment in losing the title to Atletico Madrid.
"It wasn't my best year and I would have liked it to end differently. It was a real downer for the whole team," he added.
"I've often said that Barcelona is my home, but the day that people don't want me there any more then I won't be there.
"I love this club and if there are people that don't want me, that have doubts about me and prefer me to go, then I don't have any problems with that."
