FC Barcelona star Neymar was recently accused of provoking and disrespecting his opponents on the field of play, but Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has come out in the player's defence.
In the Blaugrana's 5-1 win over Leganes on Saturday, the Brazilian was criticised for showboating late in the second half.
Los Blancos boss Zidane believes the 24-year-old was just playing his natural game, however, and not trying to work the opposition up.
"I cannot watch inside Neymar's head, but I don't think it's a provocation," Zidane said at a news conference, as quoted by Marca.
"Everyone interprets football as they see fit and he interprets it his way. And he does things that not many players can do.
"I don't see it as him provoking (his opponents)."
Neymar is expected to be in action once again on Wednesday night, when Barcelona take on Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou in a La Liga fixture.
