Brazilian World Cup winner Mazinho feels there is only one player who can replace superstar Lionel Messi at Spanish giants FC Barcelona.
Messi has been Blaugrana's talisman for the last decade but more so in recent years following the departure of legends Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.
Mazinho, who is the father of Thiago Alcantara and Rafinha, has singled out his countryman, Neymar, as the natural heir to Messi's throne at the Camp Nou.
Neymar formed a deadly attacking trio alongside Messi and Luis Suarez between 2013 and 2017 for the Catalan giants before the Brazilian left for Paris Saint-Germain.
"[Barcelona] would be delighted if he can return tomorrow," Mazinho told Marca radio.
"He is Messi's natural replacement. There is no other to replace Messi."
There have been reports in Spain claiming that the Catalan giants will reignite their interest in Neymar after failing with a move before the start of the 2019/2020 season.
