With FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi thought to have already decided where his immediate future lies, when the Argentine could take his career to David Beckham's Inter Miami in the MLS has now reportedly been revealed.
The 33-year-old is believed to be close to signing a two-year extension with the Catalan club amid much speculation linking him with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
This was reported by ESPN journalist Christian Martin, who believes Messi could later seek a move to the US, where he could be interested in joining Beckham's Inter Miami.
"The Argentine star is evaluating FC Barcelona's proposal, to potentially go one or two years and then football in the United States, to MLS, where Inter Miami would be one of the potential destinations for Messi," he said, according to Bolavip.
Beckham is understood to be chasing high-profile names for the MLS franchise, which currently has former Juventus and Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain on its books.
Another big name at the newly formed club, coached by Phil Neville, is ex-Juve midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
It has been reported for months that Messi is interested in taking his career to the US at some point in the future, with the six-time Ballon d'Or winner admitting in December last year that a move to the country would appeal to him.
