The Reds triumphed in a dramatic semi-final in the 2018/19 season, when Jurgen Klopp's men had to bounce back from a 3-0 first-leg defeat.
Messi bagged a hat-trick in the tie at the Camp Nou, but a 4-0 win for Liverpool in the second leg saw the Catalans crash out.
In the promotion of a new, four-part series on referees in the tournament, called Man in the Middle, Dutch match official Bjorn Kuipers can be seen getting frustrated with Messi during the famous tie.
With the Argentine looking to shave some seconds off the clock in the first leg, the referee can be heard yelling, "Messi, come on, show some respect. Every time you do it!"
