A third-tier player who recently went up against Lionel Messi in a friendly match has revealed what the Argentine said to him after he hacked away at the Argentine's legs on a number of occasions.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner started in the Catalan giants' 3-1 friendly win over Gimnastic de Tarragona this past Saturday, a game in which he played just one half.
While Messi was believed to have looked solid in his first performance since his controversial transfer saga, there was one moment that seemingly got him frustrated.

Defender Javier Ribelles was said to have annoyed the 33-year-old by hacking at his feet on a number of occasions, and the Gimnastic player revealed after the game that Messi stopped to ask him what he was doing.
"During the game against Barca, Messi was telling me 'What are you doing, idiot? Do you want to stop kicking me all the time'?" he said, according to El Chiringuito.
It is claimed Ribelles told the Barcelona captain he had no other way of stopping him due to him being "the best".
