Defender Javier Ribelles was said to have annoyed the 33-year-old by hacking at his feet on a number of occasions, and the Gimnastic player revealed after the game that Messi stopped to ask him what he was doing.
"During the game against Barca, Messi was telling me 'What are you doing, idiot? Do you want to stop kicking me all the time'?" he said, according to El Chiringuito.
