FC Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has had a record-breaking career and there seems to be no limits for the 27-year-old.
Messi is already the club’s best all-time scorer and has recently scored his 400th career goal for club and country, but we take a look which mile stones he can possibly reach this weekend already.
When Barcelona host Eibar on Saturday, Messi can score his 200th goal for the Catalan giants at the Camp Nou – he currently sits on 199.
He has also scored 249 La Liga goals and can score his 250th goal in the Spanish league on Saturday.
His current overall tally is only two goals short of Telmo Zarra’s long-standing all-time La Liga record with 251 goals. If Messi scores a brace against Eibar he will level Zarra’s record and if he would score a hat trick he would become the league’s new all-time record scorer.
He currently also has accumulated an incredible 299 wins with the Blaugrana, which means three points against Eibar would see him collecting his 300th win with Barcelona.
If he doesn’t break these records against Eibar, he has another chance to do so in the upcoming El Clasico against bitter rivals, Real Madrid, next weekend.
Another record on Messi’s horizon is Raul’s all-time record in the Champions League. The Argentina is only two goals short of Raul’s 71. However, Cristiano Ronaldo is one goal ahead of him and the Real Madrid superstar could break Raul’s record before Messi.
