Real Madrid have released two official statements denying they have made transfer bids for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar. Here is the latest on the Brazilian's future.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with Los Blancos since he left FC Barcelona for PSG, but considering that he joined the French giants for the world record transfer fee just last year, Real's attempt to lure him from France to Spain was always expected to be an uphill battle.
With Cristiano Ronaldo having signed for Juventus in this window, though, many have assumed the Spanish giants would go all out for PSG's prized possession, but the director of the Ligue 1 side's training centre, Luis Fernandez, has now claimed Neymar will definitely be staying at the club.
"Neymar has decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain," Fernandez told Radio MARCA.
"He wants to succeed, after not achieving much at the World Cup. I think he wants to win titles with PSG."
Neymar struggled with Brazil at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where the Selecao were knocked out at the quarter-final stage.
