Ronaldo's future has remained a topic of discussion for a few months now, especially after the arrival of Dutch coach Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag has already revealed he is looking forward to working with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who finished as United's top scorer last season with 24 goals across all competitions.
Ronaldo also welcomed the Dutchman last month and expressed his excitement with his arrival, but a new report suggest the Portuguese forward could be on his way out.
Italian out La Repubblica claims the 37-year-old is now looking to leave Old Trafford as he does not feel a part of Ten Hag's plans heading into the new season.
The report adds that AS Roma is a potential destination for Ronaldo who would reunite with Jose Mourinho, while his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon remain an option.
However, it remains to be seen if United will let Ronaldo leave as he is their only senior strike after Edinson Cavani left the club while they have not signed an attacking player yet.
