The 32-year-old Portuguese broke the record for most Champions League goals in a calendar year this week after scoring a brace against APOEL.

His double on Tuesday took his total tally after five group stage games to eight goals, two more than his nearest rivals.

Ronaldo is followed by Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Edinson Cavani, as well as Sevilla's Wissam Ben Yedder, who all netted a brace this week and sit on six strikes overall. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has also scored six goals in the competition so far, after netting a solitary goal against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

Liverpool's Roberto Firmino was another forward who scored a brace this week, taking his tally for the 2017/18 campaign to five UCL goals. Raheem Sterling, who scored Manchester City's only goal against Feyenoord, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Besiktas' Cenk Tosun follow with four strikes each.
