According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo has identified four clubs he would prefer to join following his decision to leave Manchester United in this transfer window.
It was claimed this past Saturday by news outlets across Europe and the United Kingdom that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is pushing to leave the Red Devils ahead of next season.
Ronaldo has reportedly been frustrated with the club's lack of signings in this window, while he also desires to continue competing for top honours, with United unable to do so following their sixth-place finish in the Premier League in 2021/22.
Various clubs are believed to have shown interest in securing his services for the 2022/23 campaign, including Italian side Napoli, but it has since emerged that he has preferred destinations in mind.
As per The Independent, Ronaldo has identified Bayern Munich and Chelsea as two clubs he would be open to joining as he continues to seek a departure from the 20-time English champions.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus forward also sees French giants Paris Saint-Germain as a favourable option, a move that would see him join forces with long-time rival Lionel Messi, who has a year remaining on his deal in Paris.
Spanish publication AS, meanwhile, has claimed the United No. 7's super-agent Jorge Mendes has met with Barcelona to discuss a number of his clients and that Ronaldo's name was mentioned during those talks.
Mendes was reported to have sat down with Catalan club president Joan Laporta on Monday, with the two men believed to have explored the possibility of Ronaldo making a shock move to the Blaugrana.
