Messi leads the European Golden Shoe race after netting 25 goals in LaLiga so far, while Kylian Mbappe is just one strike behind the Argentine. The duo are also the leaders for goals scored in all competitions in 2018/19 to this date.
The FC Barcelona superstar has also struck six times in the Champions League, and another two times in the Copa del Rey to take his overall tally to 33 goals across all competitions. Mbappe, meanwhile, has scored four times in the UCL and once in the Coupe de France, adding up to 29 goals overall.
The top pair are followed by Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who, with 15 Bundesliga strikes, is outside the top 10 in the European Golden Shoe race.
However, with eight goals in the UCL already this season, he is the leading scorer so far in the competition this campaign, and has also scored a hat-trick in the DFL-Supercup and another strike in the German Cup, taking his overall tally to 27 goals in all competitions.
Further down the ranking, in eighth position, appears Ronaldo after scoring 19 goals in his debut Serie A campaign so far, plus just one strike in the Champions League and another in the Supercoppa Italiana.
