With just a few more fixtures to go until the end of the season in Europe's biggest leagues, the numbers show that FC Barcelona's Messi has been directly involved in the most goals.

The 30-year-old has contributed to 62 goals across all competitions for the Catalan giants so far in this campaign, followed by Liverpool's Salah.

Many questioned the Reds' signing of the Egyptian at the beginning of the season, but 56 goal contributions later, he is now considered among the best players in the world.

Lazio's Ciro Immobile has been involved in 52 goals so far this season, while Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has contributed to the same number of strikes for the French giants.

In fifth place is Real Madrid's Ronaldo, whose 43 strikes and eight assists means he has been directly involved in 51 goals for the Spanish giants this season.

The world's most expensive footballer, Neymar, has contributed to 47 goals since moving to France, despite being sidelined due to injury since March. The Brazilian scored 28 goals and assisted 19 strikes in just 30 games for PSG this season, and might have been higher on the list had he been available all campaign.

Luis Suarez has been involved in 46 goals for the Catalans, while in eighth place is Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski with 44 goal contributions.
