Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has had his say as to who he thinks is the better player between Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
The retired Scottish manager first touched on the genius of both superstars, saying that, just by playing the game, they've enhanced the beautiful game.
"There will be 100 managers in the world who will be saying their player is the best," he told Sky Sports.
"We have this exaggeration about what a world-class player is.
"The reason I talk about Messi and Ronaldo is consistency first of all; the consistency, the balance, their excellence on the ball and the courage.
"They are never dented by a tackle. They get up and ask for the ball again.
"The goals they score, the level they are playing at and the medals they have won only points to one thing. I think everyone will agree with me that these two guys are above everyone.
"There's no question about that. They are fantastic to watch and they never miss a game. They have given value to everyone in the world by playing all the time."
When Ferguson was asked who he thinks is the better footballer between Messi and Ronaldo, his response was: "Ronaldo's my boy!"
The Portuguese talisman played 291 games under Ferguson at United, scoring 118 goals and assisting a further 65 strikes.
