Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos had a message for superstar Cristiano Ronaldo after his €105 million (R1.65 billion) move to Juventus was confirmed on Tuesday.
The Italian giants announced the signing of the 33-year-old forward from Los Blancos on Tuesday following weeks of speculation that the player was unhappy in Spain.
Ramos, who played with Ronaldo for the full duration of the Portuguese's stay at Real, has since wished his former teammate the best of luck with the Bianconeri, and believes the supporters will always hold him in the highest regard.
"Cristiano, your goals, your numbers and everything we have won together speak for themselves," Ramos tweeted from his official Twitter account.
"You have deserved a prominent place in the history of Real Madrid. The fans will always remember you.
"It's been a pleasure to play by your side, El Bicho. Strong hug and good luck!"
Ronaldo scored 450 goals and assisted a further 131 strikes in 438 matches for Los Blancos.
