Sergio Aguero has recalled a conversation with Lionel Messi in which the FC Barcelona superstar 'nearly sh*t himself'.
It was recently rumoured Messi wanted to retire from Argentina’s national team after receiving heavy media criticism in his native country.
However, the Argentina captain has dismissed such gossip, and Aguero has now recalled a conversation where Messi couldn't stop laughing about the situation.
"When the rumours about Messi potentially retiring from Argentina emerged, I asked him straight up whether he was no longer coming," the Manchester City striker told reporters.
"He told me that the media was making things up. I said that we would continue to meet with Argentina and then he nearly sh*t himself laughing.
"Messi is calm and relaxed. He will continue to show up for the team and play for Argentina. He always does his most for the team."
Messi has scored 48 goals in 102 games for Argentina and recently became the first player from his country to score against all the other countries that are part of the South American Football Confederation.
