Legendary Brazil midfielder Ronaldinho has weighed in on the ongoing transfer saga surrounding compatriot Neymar, backing the Paris Saint-Germain superstar to return to former club FC Barcelona.
Neymar's future with the reigning Ligue 1 champions has been in question since the beginning of the season after the Brazil international publicly courted a return to the Camp Nou.
The proposed mega-money move failed to materialise, however, and the 27-year-old remained in Paris, where he has endured an injury-ravaged campaign so far.
Ahead of the January transfer market, though, Neymar's former Brazil teammate Ronaldinho has weighed in on the discussion, and confessed that he would love to see the former Santos star return to Barca.
"I like my friends to be happy no matter where (they are)," Ronaldinho told El Mundo, as translated by Forbes.
"But it is logical that I would love to see him again at Barcelona with Suárez and Messi. They did amazing things together."
Neymar has scored 56 goals in 66 appearances for PSG since making a world-record €222 million (R3.6 billion) move from Barca in 2017.
