The Argentine started to train on Monday but will have to work out on his own until he will be tested negative for COVID-19 for a second time, as per LaLiga protocol.
He took the first test on Sunday at home and tested negative, which allowed him to return to Barcelona’s training complex on Monday.
Messi stated in his interview, in which he explained why wanted to leave the club but was not allowed to, that he will continue to give his all for the Blaugrana.
He has shown this attitude on his first day in training, being the first player to arrive about half an hour before the rest of the squad.

The 33-year-old also spoke with coach Koeman for a second time. Their first chat was when Koeman introduced himself before Messi had handed in his transfer request.
In their latest chat, the new Barca manager has asked for maximum commitment from his star player, according to Sport.
It will be the coaches’ task to get Messi excited again for the current sporting project after he publicly criticised the current state of the club.
Koeman said on the day of his presentation as new Barca coach that he just wants to work with players who want to be at the Catalan giants and that was also his message to Messi.
The coach is understood to have asked the captain – it is yet to be confirmed whether Messi will indeed keep the armband after his transfer saga – to give everything for the team and put his aside what happened in recent weeks and the past.
Koeman also stated: "If he (Messi) gives the performance he has always had, I am very happy."
