FC Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has reacted to Lionel Messi's latest outburst, and commented on new rumours of a January exit for his superstar.
The Dutchman addressed the media ahead of his side's clash with Atletico Madrid on Saturday, and was asked about Messi's angry response when pressed about comments made by Antoine Griezmann's former agent.
"We have to respect people like Leo Messi much more," Koeman answered, as quoted by ESPN journalist Samuel Marsden.
"After such a long journey, to ask him things about Antoine shows a lack of respect. It's an attempt from the media to create controversy.
"I have not seen any problem between Leo and Antoine."
The Barcelona boss was also asked about the latest rumours surrounding the Argentine, with it being reported that Manchester City will attempt to buy him in January after Pep Guardiola extended his contract this week.
"No (Messi will not leave) and I won't say any more about this," he said, before reiterating upon being asked again: "I won't take any more questions on this."
