Rivaldo: How Neymar Can Prove He Is The Best Player In The World

By Kurt Buckerfield - Jan 04, 2018 06:00 PM @KurtLaduma

Brazil legend Rivaldo has given his thoughts on how Neymar can prove he is the best player in the world.

Neymar Named Best Brazilian Player In Europe

Rivaldo, who once starred for FC Barcelona, believes his countryman left the Catalan club in order to become the best player in the world.

The former Olympiacos man feels that if Neymar wants that title, he needs to prove himself against Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 next month.

"Neymar went, principally, because (PSG) made him a very good offer," he said, according to Daily Star.

"Playing in Barcelona, he was in the shadow of (Lionel) Messi and although he was doing very well, Messi is Messi and he has many years left in him.

"I think Neymar left here to try to see if he is the best in the world.

"If he wants to be it, he will have to knock Cristiano Ronaldo out of the Champions League in the knockout stages in February."

Neymar must be patient, Messi & Ronaldo are still going to dominate for some time & he should've gone to a much stronger league than in France, EPL would've been a better option
