Rival: FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi Is From Another Planet!

A player who went up against FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi on the weekend has joined the long list of people suggesting the Argentine "is from another planet".

10 Big Names Who Said Messi Is The Best In History

The 30-year-old scored his third LaLiga free-kick in a row in the Catalan club's 1-0 win over Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid on Sunday, and Rojiblancos defender Jose Maria Gimenez has insisted his teammates cannot be blamed for the player's otherworldly set-piece strike.

"Messi is from another planet," Gimenez told beIN SPORTS.

"He scored a golazo from a free kick. There is nothing to reproach our team for."

Atletico midfielder Saul Niguez also conceded that it was the Argentine who decided the result.

"Neither of the teams had clear chances," he said.

"The difference was Messi, (who) decided the game with one great moment. In the second half we were better, but it did not come for us."

Messi Extends Free-Kick Record Over Ronaldo

Messi has played 41 games for Barca so far this season, scoring 32 goals and assisting a further 16 strikes.

Not only one player but many, he doesn't name himself but respectable opponents do even those who don't say it out loud say it silently deep down in their hearts.
